Operation Fistula - Makeover Monday

There is a stark disparity in not only education and wealth between the developed and undeveloped parts of the world, but also in the access to quality health services. This disparity is evident in Madagascar, Africa, where mainly young women suffer from obstetric fistulas, rendering their child births agonisingly painful, and often leading to the loss of their babies. Operation Fistula aims to stop obstetric fistulas for all women, worldwide.

Interpretation of Dashboard:

Young women report the most cases, shown by the skewed distribution of cases in the top chart.

Of the women (aged 15-65) who have access to a c-section when they need it, their lives are extended on average by 10.79 years.
