A recent study of 1,064 American consumers on how Artificial Intelligence driven chat-bots affect the consumer experience has revealed four key factors people like most about these useful tools.
Although every business is unique in some way, Chat-Bots are a great way to store information and deliver it in a structured way to a number of different yet related or common queries and questions.
The four key factors identified that increase customer experience were:
Convenience - people love the fast, efficient nature of Chat-Bot solutions
Information - when the info provided in useful and relevant
Entertainment - using the bot was fun!
Social presence - using the bot makes the user feel like they are communicating with an intelligent being
At White Box, we have dabbled with the use of both human-backed chat tools, and now a logic based chat-bot, and agree with these factors.
We’ve found that people using the Chat-Bot are trying to find an answer to a specific question, where most questions asked pertain to services we provide or job availability in the company. You can then build the appropriate logic steps in the AI tool builder to provide as much information about the key details of that particular query, making the process quick and easy for visitors. The benefit of having a ‘bot’, rather than a human, in our use-case, is that the bot can provide the relevant information about the query in real-time. This is great for smaller, more ‘lean’ businesses who may not have the capacity to employ staff to man a chat tool 24/7.
Our own Chat-Bot also allows us to more easily open up the conversation with potential future clients.
